In this digital focused world, social media is a great resource to connect with friends, share knowledge and engage with your community. However, scrolling your newsfeed and spending hours in front of a screen can also be harming to your mental health.

Say goodbye to endless scrolling looking for something to entertain and instead turn your driveway into a daily ‘post’ that can be shared with your community when they are out getting some fresh air. Whether it be a riddle, meme, dad joke or cute picture, share it on the pavement instead of on a screen. This could have a ripple effect and you can go out “liking” all the posts down your street.

Instructions

  • Decide what you would like to share. It could be a message, a quote, a link to resources or a fun joke. Be creative to the options are endless.

  • Gather your resources and design your post on the end of your driveway using.

  • No chalk in the house? You can use stones to create letters and shapes

  • Once ‘posted’, be active yourself see how many other sparks of joy you can find down your street.
