17. What’s Your Photo Theme?

What’s the theme of your photos? What photos are meaningful to you? Are there photo themes that represent who you are?

I noticed from doing these ‘19 for 19 Live Up To You’ challenges that I am drawn to taking photos of sunrises and sunsets. For this challenge I chose one photo a day for 19 days from shots I have taken this year. Each image represents the fleeting moments of time where the colours of the sky turn vivid and bright then fade away. When I look back at the collection of photos I am reminded of the changing seasons and the beauty of beginnings and endings of everyday.

This challenge was similar to the ‘Finding Awe in Awesome Challenge’ but slightly less intensive as I already had a collection of photos and didn’t have to find something new each day. For me a future challenge will be to take a scenery photo each day from the same spot just to see the change in the sky and light. I also want to do a ‘Family Photo’ challenge and an ‘Action Shot’ challenge. There are lots of photo challenge ideas I’ve seen floating around on social media, such as taking a photo each day of a work scene, favourite book, food, etc. If this is something you might want to try, maybe start by looking back through the photos you have already taken and see if there are any themes of photos that emerge.

Happy Clicking!
