6. Be Here Now Meditation Magic I have dabbled in meditation and mindfulness over the last couple of years and felt a positive shift in how I deal with life, but this 18 day ‘Be Here Now’ challenge was a game changer. While listening to a Tim Ferriss podcast, he talked about going on a silent retreat with this guy called Jack Kornfield. Anyway it turns out Jack Kornfield is a Buddhist Practitioner who is able to bring together Eastern and Western Psychologies. During my commute to work and on the weekends for 18 days the only podcast I listened to was his “Heart Wisdom” podcast. What a difference it made to how I treated myself and how I interacted with people. It literally primed me for the day to be kind and open. Pretty powerful stuff and all I did was listen to this guy on a podcast and I was much better at ‘being here now’, ‘in the moment’ and ‘perfectly imperfect’.
